Home Energy Efficiency

Do any of the following problems sound familiar?
- Energy Bills Too High
- Rooms Too Hot or Too Cold
- Allergies Worse Indoors
- Rooms With Mold or Odors
- Children With Asthma
Home energy retrofitting can uncover the source of these problems and develop custom solutions designed to fit within your budget. We are currently piloting a 1BOG Home Energy Efficiency program in the Bay Area at a 15% discount, and will be launching a program in Denver very soon.

Why Home Energy Efficiency?
A shocking statistic that jumped out at us recently is that 21% of all carbon emissions in the US come from our homes. This is because nearly 40% of the energy we consume is wasted. Things like bad insulation, leaky ducts, or inefficient household appliances are the real culprits behind this, and home energy retrofits are the best way to cut down on that waste. Saving up to 40% on energy costs by eliminating waste makes a big difference in your budget, and a big difference in our collective energy consumption.
Furthermore, the quality of air indoors is usually 3 – 5 times worse than the quality of air outdoors. If / when hot air leaks out through the top of your house, it has to be replaced by air from somewhere. As it leaks out, it draws cooler air from where it’s readily available: beneath your floors in your crawlspace. Now, your crawlspace probably isn’t an area that you’ve spent much time hanging out because it’s not terribly pleasant down there, right? Well, chances are your family is breathing quite a bit more of that damp, dirty air than you’d think, just by sitting in your living room. Sustainable Spaces can help you identify this and solve the problem. Making sure the air your family is breathing inside your home is clean is important for your health and comfort.
